A Movement For The Future
“When we neglect the younger generation, we will destroy the future generation.”
Get To Know Us
The MeToo Foundation is a registered South African non-profit dedicated to transforming the lives of students in isolated and economically disadvantaged regions. Based in KwaDukuza, we operate under the spirit of “Count Me In,” serving as a catalyst for collective action between businesses, government, and local communities.
Impactful Programs
We believe that education must transcend the classroom. Our work addresses the critical lack of basic school necessities—like desks and functional toilets—while simultaneously championing physical health, mental wellness, and emotional strength through tailored nutrition and life coaching programs.

Our Mission & Vision to Make a Difference.
“When we neglect the younger generation, we will destroy the future generation.”
Our Mission.
We work closely with disadvantaged schools, understanding their unique needs and devising tailored solutions that prioritize student well-being. We provide essential resources for underprivileged students and schools. At the MeToo foundation, we also champion physical health, mental wellness and emotional strength through nutrition programs, life coaching and enriching activities.
Our Vision.
In South Africa, numerous schools lack basic necessities like tables, functional toilets, teaching resources and so on. Technology is a distant luxury for them. Our vision is to initiate a collaborative effort involving businesses, the government and local communities. Together, we aspire to create a more hopeful future for students residing in isolated and economically disadvantaged regions.
Community founded with a vision to address critical societal challenges.
It began with a simple act of kindness. In 2023, after returning from teaching in China, Damelin and Kribashnee Sewnarain stepped into a classroom at Mbekamuzi Secondary School in KwaDukuza. What they saw was heartbreaking—students writing on their laps because there were no desks.
Unable to ignore this reality, they donated 60 desks and chairs. That one act of compassion became the seed of the MeToo Foundation, an organization dedicated to restoring dignity and hope to under-resourced schools. As Damelin reflected: “Children don’t choose their circumstances. It’s our duty to give them what they need to succeed.”
In South Africa, countless schools lack basics like desks, stationery, and functional toilets. Technology is a distant luxury. Our vision is to bring together businesses, government, and communities to create a more hopeful future for children in disadvantaged regions.
We believe that what we plant in a child, we will reap in an adult.
